Gov. Mike Parsons [recently signed a package of legislation](https://governor.mo.gov/press-releases/archive/governor-parson-signs-wayfair-legislation-law) that outlines how Missouri municipalities can collect online use tax. The state was the last in the country to reconcile the 2018 Supreme Court decision South Dakota v. Wayfair. Part of the law includes a provision that [cuts cable franchise fees in half by 2027](https://www.newspressnow.com/news/local_news/government/for-cities-online-sales-tax-may-come-with-a-price/article_a33ca42c-9e05-11eb-96d7-c30af42de284.html).
