FONA International is a flavor company that leads the industry in creating innovative ways to make a flavor experience stronger, longer, and more cost efficient. Because of their unique team approach, FONA finds flavors and solutions that elude others. Challenge

Transitioning from a local platform to a global one, FONA International faced some unique challenges.  Their tremendous growth meant a moving to a new, state-of-the art facility coupled with complete corporate re-branding. As an extension of their new brand, FONA needed a more professional website that would attract an international clientele. The previous FONA website lacked a consistent design, useful images, and intuitive navigation. Simply put, their original website did not reflect the new identity FONA had adopted.

FONA approached Azavar Technologies Corporation with two specific challenges:

  • Communicate corporate re-branding in an online venue
  • Avoid any disruption of current systems and search engine rankings 

Solution

To overhaul FONA’s current website without negatively impacting their search rankings, Azavar employed a vast range of services and skills – from creating Rich Internet Applications to full service website design and development.

Azavar started by intuitively organizing FONA’s online information, simplifying the navigation and making it easy for visitors to find what they searched for. Consequently, FONA’s new interface is smooth and clean.

After building intuitive website architecture, Azavar was ready to tackle the challenge of design. Because FONA makes the flavors that go into foods rather than the foods themselves, Azavar created images that demonstrate the benefit of FONA’s products. Instead of using images of flavor tubes, Azavar illustrated people enjoying foods flavored by FONA. The result was a dynamic and dramatic design.

In addition to a stunning website, FONA wanted to showcase a video about their cutting-edge facility. Azavar took the development of FONA’s website a step further when we integrated the video into the website – including low bandwidth and high bandwidth viewing options. The different bandwidth options circumvent Internet connectivity issues so more visitors and potential customers can take a virtual tour of FONA’s first-class facility.

Azavar had one final challenge:  maintaining FONA’s search engine rankings. With its previous website, FONA ranked well in search engines for keywords like “flavor technology” and “FONA,” so it was crucial that the website redesign have minimal impact on these rankings. Azavar used the basics of good website design, clean coding, and implementation to maintain and exceed FONA’s original rankings.

Not only does the new website appeal to an international client base, it propelled FONA International’s search engine rankings from good to excellent. Azavar successfully translated their corporate branding to an online venue while making it easier for customers – both current and prospective – to find FONA through search engines, bringing in more leads and fostering better relationships.
