Solution

Azavar Technologies Corporation proposed that Educational Communications implement a B2C website that targets high school teachers, staff and students to develop an online community based on specific interests. The company's primary business operation brings these communities together and then sells products such as plaques, mugs, books and other souvenirs with imprints of their community groups (for example former high school etc). Azavar's strategy was to brand products using the web as a communication portal. Our website strategy consultants positioned the Educational Communications online presence as a customer-led company portal, completely aligned with customer groups in order to provide specific areas of information for specific customers.

Our technology implementation provided a better means of communication between the different user groups and communities. In addition to selling products, the application was also connected to a legacy system database that allows users to retrieve Who's Who (teachers and students) lists based on keywords, year, locations, etc. This information about teachers and students, their profiles, achievements and related news was designed to help expand the growth of the online educational community. The website offers an exceptionally user-friendly interface with navigation that enhances the website's functionality and provides users with a pleasant online experience. In addition, the website is equipped with robust and secure shopping cart technology that is transparent to users. The graphic interface gives users a completely personalized feel.

As the existing application and the legacy system for Educational Communications was based on a Unix platform, system architects and developers at Azavar implemented PHP3 programming language on an Apache Server. Dynamic database query procedures were created using Microsoft SQL Server that were then returned to the front end. The result is an extremely functional, user-friendly and informative website.

Azavar's solution has given Educational Communications the ability to link people through their specific interests by keeping track of their information. Our implementation has given the company an efficient means to serve their growing community of users while also generating additional revenue.
