CFC International wanted a professional, leading-edge web presence with global reach and feel that showcased its diverse technical solutions across a wide range of applications and product lines. These solutions can be applied to a wide variety of consumer and industrial products. More specifically, CFC set out to create a global web presence that would set it apart from its competitors and increase awareness about its products, manufacturing abilities and services.
From a marketing and branding perspective, CFC recognized that its website needed a visually appealing style that clearly reflected its identity and strengths. It also understood that user interface must offer a positive experience that promoted its products and creative solutions. In short, CFC wanted to offer an improved business tool to generate more business leads and foster existing customer relationships.
Accomplishing these goals required a total redesign of the corporate website, and CFC asked Azavar Technologies Corporation to assist in the website redesign. The website now incorporates content from two other company sites.
Starting with strategy consulting, the completed website redesign fit in with CFC's overall business plan by allowing the company to meet the service needs of its global customers in clearly defined niche markets. For example, the website now enables customers to check inventory levels in CFC's stocking programs, access its holographic galleries and place gift card/certificate orders, among other functions. This ability allowed CFC to better serve its existing clients and more effectively reduce existing inventory through sales of surplus materials to these customers at reduced costs.
Just as importantly, Azavar helped CFC overhaul the frame-based design of CFC's old website that was minimizing the number of hits it would get from search engine users. Because the site had frames built into it, the content within CFC's website was not optimized for search engine placement, which is essential for generating web traffic. If search engines cannot easily find or pluck content from a website, then search engines such as Google will likely either ignore the information or put that company's links far down in the keyword listings—possibly far below listings for one's competitors.
Even after the redesign was done and the new site went live, CFC continued its website optimization efforts. To achieve its web marketing goals of improving accessibility and obtaining placement in search engines' top five listings based on keyword searches, CFC honed in on its pages' meta tags and title tags and worked with Azavar to ensure that it had the right content sitting on top of the right technology.
